These are likely mass returns for the game being so bad. Players simply return them and Amazon can't return them to the publisher.

If you play in handheld mode then it's fine but don't expect the quality to transfer to your TV when docking. It's just ugly. Like they didn't even try to make it look nice kinda ugly.

There have been 2 software updates that I recall. Current version is 1.1.0 I believe. The next software update (v1.2.0) is supposed to arrive towards the end of February. It's not clear exactly what is in that update.

That said, the game still has performance issues. LMAO

I believe the answer is yes, but you need very nimble hands and a microscope. (Disclaimer: not that I've done it)

This is the exact opposite of what I'm reading online. People say the docked mode has better performance due to being connected to a power source. Also, turning off auto-connect in wifi settings helps conserve resources.

I honestly don't ever expect games to look insane in docked mode, the max res is 1080p and graphics were never the forte of the Switch anyways.

Game is much more stable(glitches fixed) but the performance improvement patch hasn't come out yet. Nintendo is working on it though.

As an OG Pokemon fan, I think these were massive letdowns. What good is an open world if it runs at 20-25fps or less and has constant glitching and software crashes? I couldn't play it after a couple hours in because of these issues. And no, the day one patch didn't fix it and I doubt 1.2 will either.
