I guess you haven't been down a toy isle in the last 2 years? It was 30 years ago when these were originally released for $5 each.

movies get no replay value so they didn't do well after release. I haven't seen one kid dressed up as a tmnt during any halloween and i live in nyc where everybody was a turtle in the 90's

Tell me you have no kids without telling me you have no kids… jk.

FWIW my son is 5 and he and his classmates are all about TMNT, as well as Transformers/Rescue Bots and Legos/Ninjago. Just log into Netflix kids and you'll see all the TMNT iterations (except the OG cartoon).
