I bought these Apple gc at Target so many times without problem although I heard people's story all over. Finally today it's happened to me and I'm out of $200 that I can't get back.
I opened 1 of them right in the store to load them to Apple account. Doesn't work. Go to Customer Service. They told me to fk off and call apple basically. Because of their "policy". No refund no support. No matter what I say
I opened the other 3 in front of them (all $50). All does not work. They see it. And keep saying the same thing, even rude to me, like nothing's gonna happen. Basically they're fine with selling you shit they know doesn't work (they see it with their eyes - its not like i went home and redeem them - I opened in front of them). And they said without flinching it's not their responsibility and tell me to call Apple - which I'm 100% sure Apple will tell me to call Target.
I knew their was a scam going on, but I expected Target to stand behind what they sell, especially if I open the gc right in front of them. Kayla from Target, I hope you will get what coming to you for what you said to me today. See how you like when you bought $200 of product from a store that is broken right after the register and the store refuse to do anything about it. Gotta warn people that Target won't support you. Apple will be even less likely.
*Update: called apple, provided them the serial of both the sleeves and the inside cards. A customer service agent confirmed that the sleeve was indeed loaded money and the card inside was different and does not match. The money was also still there. She blocked the card associated with the sleeve so the scammer can't get the money. Then her supervisor take over, tell me to send receipts and photos and such, thought i was going to get a refund but then he said nope, this is target fault, go back to target, they have the money we don't have the money, although i already told him target won't help. He told me to contact Target Corporate (WTF ? how ?). I told him the money is in the gc that I purchased and activated, they just have to load that to my apple account. He said i dont' get it, then the call disconnected.
So 2 big corporation stiffled $200 out of me today, in the USA. unbelievable.
So people need to be aware that you're taking a gamble with this: If you got scammed, they WON"T support you. YOU WILL LOSE the money.
Just confirmed with Apple SCR, NOT RECOMMENDED unless done at a store or with an Apple CSR. Under some circumstances, it may get stuck and NOT usable for hardware purchases.
Not true at all. I bought $2000 every year and so I can get my new iPhone, Mac, Airpods, Apple Music, iCloud etc with 15% off. In-store pickup or online purchase no issue at all.

Used to be in store with physical cards but I think it has been fixed
No gift cards with Target gift cards. If there are any gift cards in the purchase it will not even allow you to pay the non-gift card amount with a gift card. Red card is all good.
Are the target circle offers only valid for red card holders? Because I got no offers on my account, Thanks for posting this op.
Yeah I got none of these. Was interesting to view all Circle offers ordered by discount. Groups were percentages off then dollars off then buy N get $Y.
But no buy X Y times for $Z for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Unless there's a way to find them I missed.
Wondering if purchased online or in-store as the online T&C states "Redemption limit of one gift card per guest."
With each one of these apple gc w/target gc deals I purchase one online and the one in store with each visit during the week (which is one or two). I've never had an issue using the same red card and same cartwheel. So I think as long as you do one online and then a few in store you will be safe. I just wouldn't do one after another after another, etc., on the same day in store. It may work, but it also may draw attention to the transactions, which you may want to avoid (especially if you're a frequent Target shopper).

Do we need to do many separate transactions of $50 each?? It isn't clear to me. 🤔
Plan to buy a computer this coming week.

Big mistake—kept throwing an error at checkout. Chat rep and 2 phone agents couldn't get it to checkout with Apple Account Balance either.
