I bought these Apple gc at Target so many times without problem although I heard people's story all over. Finally today it's happened to me and I'm out of $200 that I can't get back.

I opened 1 of them right in the store to load them to Apple account. Doesn't work. Go to Customer Service. They told me to fk off and call apple basically. Because of their "policy". No refund no support. No matter what I say
I opened the other 3 in front of them (all $50). All does not work. They see it. And keep saying the same thing, even rude to me, like nothing's gonna happen. Basically they're fine with selling you shit they know doesn't work (they see it with their eyes - its not like i went home and redeem them - I opened in front of them). And they said without flinching it's not their responsibility and tell me to call Apple - which I'm 100% sure Apple will tell me to call Target.
I knew their was a scam going on, but I expected Target to stand behind what they sell, especially if I open the gc right in front of them. Kayla from Target, I hope you will get what coming to you for what you said to me today. See how you like when you bought $200 of product from a store that is broken right after the register and the store refuse to do anything about it. Gotta warn people that Target won't support you. Apple will be even less likely.

*Update: called apple, provided them the serial of both the sleeves and the inside cards. A customer service agent confirmed that the sleeve was indeed loaded money and the card inside was different and does not match. The money was also still there. She blocked the card associated with the sleeve so the scammer can't get the money. Then her supervisor take over, tell me to send receipts and photos and such, thought i was going to get a refund but then he said nope, this is target fault, go back to target, they have the money we don't have the money, although i already told him target won't help. He told me to contact Target Corporate (WTF ? how ?). I told him the money is in the gc that I purchased and activated, they just have to load that to my apple account. He said i dont' get it, then the call disconnected.

So 2 big corporation stiffled $200 out of me today, in the USA. unbelievable.

So people need to be aware that you're taking a gamble with this: If you got scammed, they WON"T support you. YOU WILL LOSE the money.

Yes. You can add up to $2000 to your apple balance and then up to 8 gift cards on top of that for an apple.com purchase.

Calling up Apple worked. They put in a request to allow my checkout to go through using the apple credit. Took 2 hours after calling.

How did you know Apple had fixed the problem on their end? I'm getting the pink popup blocking my purchase too; I called Apple yesterday. They said I'd get an email when it was fixed; I haven't yet. Should I try to re-buy again?

Note that you can just apply X number of Apple Gift Cards onto 1 Apple ID and pay with the credit you have on the account. Lets you get over any limit.

I'm aware. That's why I posted this deal haha. Not sure if you read the reply I was replying to, but I was responding to the time period years ago when iTunes and Apple store gift cards were separate. At that time iTunes discounts/deals were readily 20-30%. If you had some left over when the 2 gift card types were combined into 1, you inherited a way bigger discount on Apple hardware vs. the discounts offered now.

Be careful with the Target gift card scam. I placed the order of $50 gift card, received the email, and tried to redeem it to transfer the balance to my Apple account, but it showed "This code has already been redeemed. I called Target , and they asked me to call Apple. I called Apple , and they said the code has never existed…

Update: My order went through, a couple hours after the cancelled orders. Not sure if I was ordering too quickly before or something else.

Are you using a redcard? If so, check your credit limit because I've had orders cancelled in the past because I was over my credit limit.

Regarding purchasing them right after the other, I did purchase most of them right after the other and did not have any of my orders cancelled.
