For anyone turned off by the price. I will say this, I build battery packs, power banks, power generators a lot. We're talking for businesses. I've probably assembled around 10,000 in my time, been in charge of ordering parts, you name it.

It is hard enough to get something that supplies PD over 100w in such a small form. One of our packs has PD 65w (true 65 from the PD output) and the module itself is over 30 dollars. After all is said and done, with the batteries (LiFePo4) and everything else, boost/bucks, fuses, bms, it came out to 70 dollars, BEFORE selling.

Now if I wanted to do a cheap, ugly home project it would cost me around 40-50 bucks to get over 65w. I would figure if they sold these at 80 dollars they'd probably start to lose money. It really isn't cheap to make these and they are so much more superior to what I build at my job, for 70 bucks.
This was 99 not long ago and was a questionable purchase even at that price
not bad. I purchased this from AnkerDirect on Amazon on December 28th, 2022 for about $99+tax/free amazon prime shipping.

I've brought the charger to me on domestic flights in the US and can say that I've never had issues traveling with it.

The case that comes with the battery sucks.

If you're looking to buy a case, I recommend getting the Anker SoundCore Official Travel Case (SoundCore/SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker ONLY) - PU Leather Premium Protection Carry Case.
The charger fits perfectly in it.

Any idea why they didn't go close to 99 Wh if the main restriction is airlines limiting to 100 Wh? This is their most premium power bank after all

Does anyone know what the watt-hour rating is of this pack? These mAh ratings are kind of useless because you don't know what voltage that's at. Is it 24000 mAh at 3.3v? 5v? It is likely 3.3v since they use 3.3v packs in these things.

It's a 2021 XPS 2013 4k and I can get a full charge off the Anker and have about 20% in reserve on the anker.

Does anyone Know how fast this power bank recharges in watts? I.E. 18 watts, 30 watts, 60 watts?

edit: the graphis shows that it recharges at 140 watts. that's extremely fast which is suitable for such a large battery. Only catch is having to find a 140 watts charger. 100w chargers are easy to come by and still very fast.

Thanks for the case you recommended! I've been looking for a good one since I purchased it for $99 in December as well! Applause

I bought this and the 140 watt charger on sale. This thing charges my laptop at work easily for a 12 hour work day. And recharges with the 140 watt charger in about 45 minutes.

Yep, it was 99 a little over a month ago. I have been watching the price of this item. I don't need it, but I would like it.
So! If you don't need one, I would wait until the price goes down again.

I dont think the macbook pro is capable of accepting 140W? 100W only right?

Even if the powerbank is capable
The M1 macbook pros top out at 100W over USB-C-to-C, but the C-to-magsafe cable is capable of the full 140W the included charger provides. I've personally witnessed my 16" M1 Max draw 130W from this powerbank with the USB-C-to-magsafe cable

You can bring this onto a plane w/o any issues?
I had zero issues. No one at BNA, JFK, or TLV batted an eye at this battery (though they did inspect my deodorant because apparently the density was suspect lol). The size and amount of batteries you can carry is determined by the airlines, I think most US domestic flights will let you have two of these with no issues, though int'l might be a different story.

So they jack up the price then add a coupon. And it still is more than they sold it for a month ago at 90 dollatlrs. They must find a lot of suckers to keep playing the coupon game
Many sellers use coupon codes just as a means to track where the sale (from advertising) originated from. Sure it's not the "BEST" deal it's ever been, but for those of us who missed it, why not? Why hate it on

For those scoffing at the price, I bought a similarly expensive Shargeek 2 slim at $109 or so a while back. I love that thing and use it all the time, in particular when traveling. Also, unlike the cheap banks, it is really capable and does really charge at a fast rate and also recharges very quickly. Both are helpful when you travel.
