The screw pattern on Squires is ever so slightly different. Just enough to be infuriating.

I will likely cover the old holes but you'd have to drill new holes for the new guard.

Depending on year - most have the bridge routed for a humbucker. I'd be surprised if that wasn't the case on that guitar

The hardest part would be drilling out the cavity for the humbucker. Also, I've read varying things about the size of bullets vs standard bodies.

Video from StewMac on that very project. I was thinking of doing the same thing to my songs Squier bullet strat.

My HSS Bullet Squire has a drilled-out cavity for a HSH setup. I wonder if all the Bullets have the same body cavity design and they just throw on whatever pickguard they want for different configurations.

Yeah it should fit fine. Check out stratosphere too. I got a loaded fender pickguard for like $120 on there.

This is a great price. I paid full price for this a bit over a year ago. I installed them in a Fender Deluxe Strat body that I also ordered on Amazon (that body has the humbucker routed and costs $300 right now).

Just as heads up... I had to make the holes for the pickup posts a little deeper to get these pickups to fit into the body and have everything sit nice and flush.

It sounds super clean, but these pickups arent as spicy as something like the Tex Mex pickups. If you're looking for big volume, these might not be the best choice. They sound unbelievable clean though and the humbucker does rock.

With that said, I think Im gonna order this again and go on offerup and see if I can find a cheap squire with humbucker and build another frankenstrat.

Its not that simple. The wiring also has to be a mirror image so that the pots work in the correct way, as well as the multi-position switch. Otherwise the pots will turn backwards and the switch will be backwards as well. It would take re-soldering and careful planning. It can be done with diligence Wave.

It fit in my Classic Vibe just fine and was already routed for Humbucker. With this one tho, it has a double volume pot so that cavity needs to be pretty deep. For the Bullets, they have thinner bodies. Might fit but beware of that. These picks sound really good and they are hot and loud. Not the pickups you want if you want vintage Strat tone. This is more of a modern hot strat sound or super strat sound. Good luck!

Bit of work, but it fits with minor dremel work to the neck pocket. The swimming pool routing in the body made it much easier, but in terms of depth it is still rather tight... Also needed about 4 new holes drilled into the body to get all of the pickguard screws in. Sounds brighter than my 2017 american elite with the same pickups. Worthwhile upgrade to the Indio that breathed new life into a guitar I really don't play much!
