Narrow belt sanders were a game changer for automotive collision repair technicians when they came out several years back. Steel components are spot-welded together car - little round welds, the width of a pencil-tip eraser or two are spaced every few inches - these must be removed for panel replacement. A narrow belt sander with a 60 or 80 grit belt is quicker and requires less physical exertion than drills or traditional grinders.

For slim metal corroded fence like in the picture. Lol

Probably a tool with fewer usage than a regular palm sander.
Whoa! Who has that much time or patience?

My initial reaction exactly. Is this a sander FOR ANTS?!!!

Luckily (or unfortunately, depending on your budget), there are lots of blemished sander options…

It's flat rate shipping. Doesn't make a lot of sense if you only buy 1 thing, but if you were, for example, to add all 11 items above to your cart, then shipping would only be $1.36 each. Or, just pick up at the store if there's one nearby.
Yep. People in these threads complaining about $15 flat rate shipping. I bought 3 shop vacs and 3 other boxes of tools. Now, if you want a $5 item, then you should just go to HD

We call these finger files and they are super useful for hard to reach places. We use it to clean up welds between pickets on railings

The most common thing this tool is used for is filing strike plates to make a door close better.

As someone who uses this type of tool on a regular basis, I'd recommend the Bauer corded belt file from HF for the same price. It is very superior to this tool. It just has to be plugged in.
Milwaukee just released the m12 model of this few days ago. Very tempted to give it a try

For those using the mobile app, don't forget to look at my OP to see other discounted tools that might be worthy to combine shipping.

I wish ridgid would build this. Have you ever used a Dynabrade Dynafile to sharpen mower blades? I don't use anything but now. This would be nice not having to use air.

Dynafile has been making pneumatic versions of this for more than 30 years. Very useful in industrial settings.
