This is the first model to have the Apple Pencil to be magnetically attached, so most cases will leave at least the other edge open for that! (unless it has a dedicated pencil holder)

Sweeeeet. The discount case I got doesn't properly function as a stand so I've been waiting for this type of deal. Verizon site hasn't worked for me in the past but no problem this time with guest and Apple Pay.

Thanks. I got it. When it arrived, I noticed that it magnetically attaches to the ipad, Decided to keep the one I already had, which while a bit heavier, surrounds the entire ipad back and sides. I once left the ipad mini on the roof of my car, and when i got to the first stop sign, noticed the ipad flying forward, hitting my hood, then falling to the asphalt. I went out to pick it up and nary a scratch on the ipad, just on the case. A magnetically attached case would have separated from the ipad and probably destroyed the ipad.

It's not $10 but the ESR case I got for mine has held up better than my Apple branded ones and even includes a strap to hold the pencil in place. Would highly recommend it even at its current price of $5 more than this deal.

Oh man, I had that same iPad and upgraded to a Pro to get the 120Hz screen and it was beautiful... But I agree, really bigger than my main use case: Watching YouTube videos and reading on planes and before bed. I even coughed up the extra $100 to Apple for the upgraded storage model yikes... And all for a smaller model with a less-awesome display... But, at the end of the day this form factor just fits my needs better and the display difference isn't a show stopper (Though I'm reminded of how "crappy" my iPad mini looks when using my 16" M1 MBP and my iPhone 13 Pro lol). Also, the Mini doesn't hurt as bad when it smacks me in the face if I pass out watching a video (Honestly, a selling point for me because I refuse to buy one of those janky tablet arms for the nightstand haha).
