Besides the weight inserts, I love mine. Mine are the expandable ones. I just leave the extra weights out and work out like that, which I suggest for mostly everyone else. Plus the balance of weight is distributed better without them for many workouts.
Mow grass using a push lawn mower ...
Grow vegetables, digging dirt, manual labor ..
It is all hard work and exercise, now I no need to buy dumb bells or pay gym fees.
Brilliant!
I prefer doing both. Laid patios, built porches, dug footers. Nothing but benefits if you embrace manual labor. But at the end of the day there are bonuses to lifting and targeting muscle groups that you can't get from the above. In fact if I wasn't also lifting while doing all that work I may have gotten a repetitive stress injury.
Lifting properly helps keep my old injuries, rotator cuff, herniated disks, etc at bay.
50 lb non expandables will be good for the vast majority of users. I am 52 years old and dont need to heft around heavy weights greater than 50 lbs. If I want to go heavy, Im using a straight barbell for bench press and squats.
