Just bought some today actually. $500 per card. Have to load the coupon to your profile (1 coupon per customer ) so the rule is go to store, grab a card and say what amount you wanna load . The card reader will display where you enter your phone number (which is the number you used to setup your DG account) then BOOM $500 changes to $450 and depending on the "Coolness" of your DG Employee, swipe a credit card for cash back or debit of course, or good ol' inflation enhanced cold hard cash. The hack is, you can setup multiple DG accounts using Google Voice numbers, etc. (not sure of others but GV for sure works). And you can use multiple loaded coupons using several phone numbers but keep in mind most DG's limit max (4) card purchases per hour or they get locked out. Truth be told you can buy more than (4) if you befriend your local DG employee but the snitch of it is they get flagged for potential fraud, Yada, yada, and it's more of a burden on them to deal with the calls they get so most places just follow the (4) per hour rule. Yes I get it, and that's the whole point here, DG stores do in fact have different rules regardless of what anyone says so just be cool with the workers, they always get robbed and always have to deal with crap no one else does so if they are cranky or rude just move along to the next DG 3 miles down the road (not everyone of course) they'll hate me for this but 99% of DG employees get cool perks and always have their phone with the app. Again, find a cool one and simply be nice and ask if you can use their loaded coupon for an extra one….. again, be nice people…. Kindness works!!!

the last time I went to DG for a gift card, they only took CASH for giftcard purchases. NO credit cards accepted. I don't know if this is a company wide policy or store specific.

It depends on the store and the manager, but some take cash or debit only and others are OK with credit. I would be prepared with cash/debit if you're not sure

DG BF deal on Lowes GC was 15% off, repeated for a few years now. But if you used up those cards and need another, the 10% off deal here is better than nothing!

I've never had issues using my Debit Card as credit to purchase these.
I've also never had issues with the balance of the cards.
I've got a $500 card that I've been slowly draining over the past 1 1/2 years.
I have around 5 other cards with various balances that have never been used, and I check their balances occasionally on lowes website.

If you can also load the $5 off $25 saturday coupon you can get the $5 off if you buy $5 extra worth of items (on Saturday of course). It won't take it off the giftcard price alone though. Worked for me last March. They usually post this coupon twice in February & again in March.
