I was able to sign up with an existing email of a membership that expired a year ago. It seems that you can keep signing up with these promos by switching between two emails every year.

What's everyone's take on the Plus membership? Is it worth it?

We've taken the regular Sam's club membership every year via some offer or the other. We alternate between my wife and me. And we usually manage to get some free offer cause Sam's has always had some direct or third party offer that makes membership free. But lately I've been wondering if I ought to get the Plus membership. Cause every decent deal they have is good only for plus members. They usually have ridiculous shipping charges that kills the deal for regular members. But on the other hand, Plus membership is $45 extra (after you factor in $10 gift card that only regular members get). Not worth it if I end up mostly doing only in-store shopping. 😞

Plus offer may be ok but why pay $25 with $10 coupon when can pay $19.99 with $10 gift card in another offer? Just to go through Sam's directly?

It should work as long as you go through the link that displays the $10 discount. In any event, many of the managers have been very helpful in my experience in getting discounts honored if ever a snag pops up. If the hourly associates can't help you, you should always bump your issue up to a manager. They are (supposed to be) operating with member service as the top priority and are supposed to take care of any _legitimate_ concern you have.

I am located in middle near costco and sams. If am going costco, will there be any advantage to take sams? Is gas price same or better?

Only hot commodity 'egg' keep going oos in costco.

Sam's has items that Costco doesn't and vice versa. You should try both and if you decide you can live without one of them, you can always get a refund on your full membership price at either club. Same promotion I got the last round but it was a $45 off. It wouldn't pull up on my account even though my purchase was $100+. Let me know if it works for you with your first purchase.
