You don't need a heat gun to shrink tubing in a pinch.

Use the barrel of the soldering iron.

Looks good for the number of stuff you get for the kit. Kit is great for just occasional use but definitely not good enough for pro.

Good enough to get started for most household and electronics repair. Single temp, cheap easy pump and stripper. Odd they provide heat shrink tubing but no heat gun

It has a temperature knob so you should be able to set it. Yeah a heat gun would be pushing it at $10

I bought one almost identical to this. Everything in in was basically garbage. Iron stopped working almost immediately—as in within 30 seconds. I wouldn't buy again, not even for $5.

I used to work at an electronics manufacturer. Though new product was built with automated machines, repairs were all by hand. I used a Metcal iron daily. Certainly better than this in several ways, but I honestly could get by with this for a few days if I had to. The included solder would probably be my biggest complaint. Kester or bust. That electrical tape would go in the trash too.
