Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE is $2 less and includes the hardware to mount a second fan which is not included in this one.

Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE CPU Air Cooler, 5 Heatpipes, TL-C12C PWM Fan, AGHP tochnology, for AMD AM4 AM5/Intel LGA 1150/1151/1155/1200 https://a.co/d/1eSUIOa
If $25 is your price then you have nothing to complain about. Right? All companies use MSRP to make sales more attractive. That being said, this fan is absolutely worth a minimum of $25. I game with it using an AMD 7 5800x and it has no problem keeping cool on the latest and greatest releases.

MSRP of $40? GTFOH TT, you're not gonna win back any market share with that kind of pricing.

That said, this should be a decent inexpensive replacement for a stock cooler that's not up to job of keeping temps in line. $25 should be the everyday price for this imo, YMMV.

Same. If you're going to pay the ridiculous PC component prices, at least tough my hair...

I'm just curious how they got to this wattage rating. What is this maybe a 212 evo .... maybe? Those things are good for about a hundred watts. 120 if you don't mind high temps

I have a large box of evo and other 212 heatsinks with fans. Most of them were only used for a couple of months.
I don't have one damn mount for am AM4 build.
I refuse to buy another hs. I'm going to have to rig something up. Maybe even cable ties. Don't judge me.

The assassin king is also a 5 heatpipe design versus 4 with this one

I bought the Thermalright Assassin King and I'm surprised how quiet it is for the price. Just wondering how long the fan will last but so far so good.

Most new fans are fdb, if you run them with a low default curve, they'll last forever.
