I continue to be disappointed that the excellent All-Clad 3 quart steamer insert hasn't appeared in these sales in a little while. It's pricey at nearly $80 so finding one on this sale for half price (as it's been in the past) would be nice. In the meantime, if you also want a 3 quart pan (without the long saucepan handle), this SD5 steamer set [homeandcooksales.com] is a decent deal at $144.

I used my D5 11" french skillet yesterday night to sear some pork chops that I sous vide. Gets hot fast. Bought the 9" + 11" set when they were on sale. One of their lighter weight pans also (comparatively).
I picked up a 12-Qt brushed D5 with packaging damaged a few months ago and a corner of the box was torn but didn't even look like it had been opened before.The pot was absolutely perfect.

Here's an example: 2-Qt. Sauce Pan with Lid / Stainless - Packaging Damage [homeandcooksales.com]. The details list "Premium tri-ply construction delivers even heat distribution", but there's no other mention of the D3 trademark anywhere on the page.
What would be the point of having the items listed by the categories, if they don't mean anything?
