Costcos is a different model. I believe the newer models (might be this one) can heat up to 500 degrees. Older models can only go up to 450. Great applicance as I've owned the first and 2nd generation, but it is very difficult to clean. The top portion gets grimey very quickly and the lid cannot be removed. You have to be really on top of cleaning per use, but if you cook Korean bbq in this expect a lot of splatter.

this looks like it has physical buttons - I am guessing that fixes the issue with the older versions of the touchscreen not working to change the temp and time?

anyone know what material the parts that touch your food are made of? i know its some kind of metal with a non-stick coating - but what kind of metal (iron, stainless, aluminum, etc) and what is the non-stick coating exactly?

How is this product better? It doesn't seem that there is a temperature probe at all. That's what makes the Ninja so damn easy to use…you set the thermometer probe at a certain temp and it cooks until done. Very easy. nod

It's a similar product yeah, but it's pretty affordable and smaller for those who have limited counter space. The Ninja is huge af. I agree the temp prob is worth the price but it's nice to have options for those who are looking for one.

Can. Be had for $200. A lot of time u want open hood. For example, closed hood a steak may only take 6 mins BUT ideally you want 12mins for crust. I find zero use for the "grill" I almost always use the griddle
