I mean did the C3 solve the potential burn in problem? Because if not and you've been in the market for an OLED, this is it.

Yes, they literally do. Look up employee discount programs, every company has them and they undercut the retailers. This isn't just for electronics, all the major appliance manufactures have them, every single car company has them, etc....
I'm talking about the broader concept of manufacturers taking a D2C route and directly undercutting their retailers. This is not standard practice, as it is a good way to make your retail distribution chain give you the finger next ordering season.

But yes, using special limited-buyer-pool offers to do this undercutting is inarguably the new meta right now. No one can deny that.

Usually you see behavior like Sony, Nvidia, and AMD where they make money by selling direct **at retail price** not by undercutting their retail distributors.

My point in my post is that there may be manufacturer internal rebates that will bring these savings to Costco and others once SuperBowl purchases are over.

Our goes through "perks at work". I searched LG, entered work email, then when approved it gives a link to the member site and login.
We have Perks at Work too, but when I search LG on that site, nadda. When I try to create an account on the LG site, my work email is not recognized. Bummer.

Same, LG returns nothing logged into PaW other than offering a couple stores selling LG stuff (Best Buy, Adorama)

I work at a large accounting firm and have member price of 1274. Great price, but I think I will wait to see how the G2 price drops
Is it EY?

are you including the tax savings in your calculation?
Are you including the free 2 yr care+ warranty in case of Samsung?

QD-OLED is still OLED. Don't be a smartass
I am not being a smartass

I suggest you look it up on your own and see the distinct difference in their construction

QD-OLED is an OLED like oxtail and rib-eye are both beef. It's unfair to call QD- OLED "still OLED" because it implies they're the same. They're not. QD-OLED is far superior with the amount of light it can deliver.

Conventional OLED panels can't come close.

I think you are overselling how much "better" QD-OLED is... Each has their own advantages, and neither one really comes out ahead of the other:
