Why the hate on composite toe boots anyway? If they meet the ANSI or OSHA requirement, great. They tend to be lighter and don't transfer the cold to your tootsies.

You can place 4ah power stack batteries in the heel for boost in height

I prefer LED steel toe boots.
Same. The shoe batteries last a lot longer with LED than with halogen. Anyone know how many lumens these shoes provide?

40+% of the reviews are less than 5 stars. Hard pass. Remember - there is a reason things go on sale - people aren't buying them or the reviews suck

Deals like this are great for folk that just have here and there needs. May not hold up to the day in day out grind, but if that's your situation, you've probably already invested heavily into a quality pair.

Also, definitely don't understand the composite toe hate. I switched to EH boots and they're definitely lighter and less of a pain in the ass at airports when i have to travel to different jobsites.

Where does it state they are nonmetallic?

Composite

"The DEWALT Halogen has a steel toe for protection" also has "antimicrobial silver"... So it seems very metallic to me.
Quote from vash01000100 :
Where do you see that? The only mentions of composite or TPU are for the shank. That is on the bottom between the soles. The toe seems to be steel. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I apologize for my joke going right over your heads. Halogens are nonmetallic elements. It was a science joke.

No set up, all punchline. How could we get it? Even understanding that halogen is nonmetallic, it wasn't really a joke.

Make sure you get 0.5 or 1 size bigger. I got 0.5 bigger and it's really tight

I'm returning these. The top was rubbing against my leg. I was barely able to walk by the end of the day. Probably needs to be broken in but I'm not going to take all that pain to break it in.
