You got lucky. Or are 110 pounds. Or don't use it much. Or have the older, better version. Read the 1 and 2-star reviews.
What I linked to is 24/7 commercial quality built in Canada and warranted for 12 years. Comes in 3 seat lengths. Yours ain't that.
Example reviews:
"Started breaking within 6 months, fully broke in 9.
Yes, I use my chair a lot and I tend to replace them every 12-18 months as a result, but this chair was poorly made, and it started pulling apart from the frame early, had issues with the headrest, then started losing seat height randomly, and finally snapped its frame one morning when I leaned back and stretched. In years of replacing office chairs, this takes the cake as the biggest waste of money."
"One year in and it can't hold 185lbs.
It is just about one year since I bought this and for the last month I occasionally am sitting on the plastic below the mesh. I only weigh 185lbs. I had found one of these at the curb that someone else was throwing away a few years back, and though lots of things were wrong with it from age, the mesh held me just fine for four years. I ended up getting a replacement because the arm pads were extremely worn and falling apart. When I got the new one I noticed that the mesh looked like it was half as heavy as before, but I just trusted the company. They skimped on the weight of the mesh and it shows. I am going to contact them and see what they will do, but the product isn't worth buying if this is what the chair is now-a-days."
"3 out of 4 Chairs Went BAD.
Chairs went bad after 3-1/2 months: Headrest broke off chairs and the insert came off and cannot be repaired. One chair does not hold the upright position (actuator defective). Total of 3 out of 4 chairs BROKEN!!!"

Also I got this chair from my sister's work because they were closing and needed to get rid of them.
Recently I found a small slice in the arm pad, I think it must have been from my son. It keeps getting worse cause I press on it. I just called customer service and they are sending me a new one for free. They didn't even ask why or anything.
