Omg, this is almost 10 years old. Amazing movie. One of the best action/martial arts movies.
Thumbs up for an excellent movie with great action, though warning that the violence can sometimes be over-the-top brutal / gory.

The Vudu and iTunes versions may only be in Indonesian (with English subtitles). The Amazon version appears to be English dubbed. I suggest you get a version with audio in a language you speak, rather than one with subtitles. Some people will argue for the original language (Indonesian) for the effect of the original inflections, but in my opinion there is too much action to divert your attention to the subtitles.
I liked the first Raid a bit better, the second had a lot of good fight scenes but got kinda corny with all the anime characters like bat boy and shades girl. The first one was badass in every way and just brutal fight to the death action.

I feel like kung fu movies in general are a dying genre. Its true that most of the stars of this era are aging. Jet Li and Jackie Chan are basically retired and Donnie Yen might have a few movies left in him at most. Tony Jaa has been pretty MIA but Iko Uwais is kinda like the younger Indo version of him. No rising stars have really taken over their mantles, I think most aspiring martial artists are more into combat sports nowadays and not making films

Great movie. There's been a serious lack of good martial arts movies in the past 5 years. All the action stars getting older (e.g. Donnie Yen).

Yes that was my point...and honestly, it's sad. I still remember how impressed I was with Ip Man when it came out in 2008. Can't believe that's 15 years ago.

Such a good movie. Yes Raid 1 was better, this is still pretty up there if you like great action and cinematography.

The last fight in the kitchen is hands down the best movie fight scene I've ever seen

Same price from AMC Theatres On Demand [amctheatres.com] service, but their service is still not part of Movies Anywhere.

Love the Raid 1 and 2, absolute gems. If you haven't seen them yet, watch them! You won't be disappointed.

The kitchen scene in Raid 2 and the girl fight in The Night comes For Us (similarities to Raid) are tied for best fight scenes imo

Love both Raid movies. Can't wait Garett Evans' next project. Tom Hardy is in it.
