Why ax is day and night?
Even my wyze cameras are working much more stably even though they had full reception and they are 2.4ghz. I upgraded from ac68ux2 mesh to a single ax88u.

One should consider looking into newer AX series hardware for better Asus (and Asus-Merlin if you run it) support. The AC line isn't apparently going to be updated to the 388.x firmware (and features) that the some of AX series routers are now using. The AX line generally has significantly better hardware than the cheaper AC line of routers, not to mention some of the cheaper AC routers are working with 8 to 10 year old hardware.
