Have this drive. The case is thin plastic and cracked. Also gets quite hot.
So does that make this a smokin' hot deal?
I own like 10-15 of these from capacities of 64GB to 256GB. They are fine for everyday use but not if you are rough with your USB devices.

Just FYI for those wondering the initial write speeds are quite good at around 75-80MB/s after just about a minute this slows to about 40MB/s but after another minute or so you will reach its native writing speed of about 15-20MB/s (actually below the USB 2.0 port speeds) which will continue until the drive is full.

Long story short copying 20GB of large files to these drives will require ~25-30mins

Yup. The whole thing feels like plastic and cheap. I returned the one I bought. I ended up going w the Samsung metal ones. Not this price but I don't worry about breaking it.

EDIT. Also I still wouldn't trust Amazon with things like memory cards.

Looking for one for Tesla as well. Samsung T7 [amazon.com] and Crucial X8 [amazon.com] both have 1050 mb/s speed, but Samsung is $100 and Crucial is $80. Any idea if Crucial would work, and is as dependable?

I don't see why not. Either one should work fine. I've never bought crucial ssd only samsungs.
