Using a card payment processor at 2.9% you'd be able to cycle $4,000 for $116 in fees - add the $69 card fee and you're at $185 for Companion Pass and 34,000 points, which is a solid deal for 11 months of pass.
I got the Priority card a little over a year ago. I was able to add the card to ApplePay before getting the physical card.
Once the card appears in your accounts in the Chase app
go to the card,
click Show More under Account Services
Click Digital Wallets
I was able to add the card to ApplePay. GPay and Paypal are also offered but I did not try to add those.
Hope this helps someone. It's possible they changed this since I did do it over a year ago.
Have done the CP many times. This looks like an easy way to get it. Too bad I have no desire to fly anymore.

30K points is too few. One year CP is okay if you plan to fly a lot this year. Otherwise, lukewarm deal.
Seeing they increased CP to 135k its difficult to add that amount of points in one go even one trip will be worth cp, and of course priority is the one that makes most sense since you get back $75 after 1st year only costs $5 more

Since Southwest gives a free 10k companion pass-eligible points/year to SW credit card holders, there has been no change to 'earning' companion pass via credit cards.
Does the papers that come with the card in the mail mention the CP promotion? Mine arrived on Friday but I don't see any mention of it on the papers or the chase online portal
I cancelled my SWA Credit card (SUB was over 48 months ago), waited 4 days and tried reapplying. Was auto declined. Called reconsideration line and was told I needed to wait 30 days for old card to clear in their system to be approved.

Did you apply for the same exact Southwest card, or a different version of a personal Southwest card?
OK please check my math here but in theory, I think it's possible for one to get a CP for 2023-2025 with 2 cards by:
1) Sign up for Personal Card for 30K Plus CP in 2023-Feb 2024
2) Sign up for Business Card for 80K (110K total)
3) Stop using the cards at all for the remainder of 2023 after hitting minimum spend on both cards (4K for Personal, 5K for Business - total of 119K points)
3) Collect Anniversary points from both cards on 1/1/2024 (7500 personal, 9000 business for a total of 135500 points) and qualify for CP for 2024-2025
Anything I'm missing here or would this timing work to get a CP for ~2.75 years with this approach?

Anything I'm missing here ...
You are missing the fact that companion pass-qualifying points reset to 0 on January 1st of each year.
Also, the annual anniversary points for holding those cards are synced to the anniversary of having opened those cards, not the beginning of a calendar year.

Ok thanks for clarifying on the cardholder anniversary points.
Isn't there typically a grace period though for earning points in the following calendar year (usually by Jan 31)?

No, there is no grace period here. What you're saying probably would not work because your companion pass points would have reset Jan 1st. If you're interested in applying, you can message me, I have additional tips and tricks

I applied for a different personal card. Previously had Premier, new application was for Priority.
