I'm the opposite, prefer wool or cotton to any synthetics. I really wish I could find quality wool flannel.

I would recommend the relaxed fit over loose fit unless you have shoulders like Paul Bunyan.

Carhartt is a well-known and respected brand that has been providing durable and high-quality workwear for over a century. However, in recent years, many customers have noticed a decline in the quality of Carhartt products. This decline in quality has been a source of frustration for customers who have come to expect the best from the brand.

One of the primary reasons for the decline in quality is due to the shift in production to cheaper overseas factories. This has resulted in lower quality materials and manufacturing processes being used, which in turn has led to products that are not as durable as they once were. Customers have reported that products are now more prone to tearing and wear, which is a significant concern for those who rely on Carhartt products for their daily work.

Another issue that has contributed to the decline in quality is the company's focus on expanding its product line. Carhartt has diversified into a wide range of clothing and accessories, but this has come at the cost of quality. In an effort to keep up with demand, the company has had to make compromises in terms of the quality of materials and manufacturing processes used. This has resulted in products that are not as reliable or long-lasting as they once were, which has been a major source of disappointment for customers.

To make matters worse, Carhartt has also been criticized for its customer service. Many customers have reported that it is difficult to get in touch with the company and that they have received poor service when they have needed to return products or resolve issues. This has further eroded customer trust in the brand and made it more difficult for Carhartt to retain its customers.

In conclusion, the decline in quality at Carhartt is a significant concern for customers who have come to expect the best from the brand. The shift to cheaper overseas production, the focus on expanding the product line, and poor customer service have all contributed to this decline. If Carhartt wants to retain its position as a leading provider of high-quality workwear, it needs to make significant improvements in these areas.

They look great but $150-$300 dollars for a flannel is nuts

Unfortunately this is becoming quite common for many American made brands. Their growth and popularity leads to overseas production while keeping the same "Made in USA" price until consumers catch on. Its very short-sided and quite disappointing as a customer who doesn't mind paying extra for things that will last. Filson/Barbour/Pendleton are examples that come to mind.

I'll admit that I don't have the experience with Carhartt garments from decades ago. I do however own several of their present day items including the shirt from this thread. In my opinion quality is excellent and for the $25 sale price it's second to none. I also own couple items from their WIP (Work In Progress) line sold overseas and they are top notch as well. I know many people who wear Carhartt, both casually and for work, and don't recall any of them ever complaining about quality. I believe they still produce some items in the US but this shirt is not one of them. If it was, sale price would be higher than what msrp is and we wouldn't be talking about it on SD. Great shirt though but keep in mind it's very loose fitting. Length is true to size. If you like the design and loose fit this is excellent deal.

I like their beanies and bought several when they were on sale for around $10-12, but $20 regular price is a bit expensive.

Took several minutes of screen refreshing to get the rewards member free shipping after signing up.. Until it made the adjustment, I was going to be charged a separate tax on the shipping. .61 cents. Is this a new thing? Anyone else experience this?
