Tons of factors from age, city, sex, record, etc affecting insurance costs.
Coverage greatly affects this. (E.g. $30k vs $100k for injury)
Vs Tesla $800/yr CA, my new versa is $1170~, old xA $1570~ ($30/100 + comprehensive, liability, collision).
And this isn't with shopping around - with SF in SoCal.
...
$1170-800 = 82 gallons of gas @ $4.50 = 2,500 mile difference in cost @ 30mpg versa.
I didn't say I shop around, I just added to my account. But you seem to be missing the point?
The point I posted was, for the same driver, the cost of insurance is largely dpenend on the value of the car. I don't know how much your versa cost, but perhaps it cost less than Tesla.
As I said , in my case, sienna and model y cost about the same for the same insured value. in your case, I'd imagine a 60k car, regardless of the brand, probably cost around the same, and probably more than your versa

Ie. Trying to add insurance costs into the total is subjective and personal, so it's not realistic to get a good estimate range that anyone here can use. Simply crossing state lines can add $1k to someone's insurance plan.
