Fully modular comes in handy every time you have a build that doesn't use the 24-pin connector.

Looks like a decent component for the price.

Purchased it as a backup. I had to scramble a day before Christmas Dec-2022 to get a PS for my 12yr old desktop from Best Buy.

When did they start calling these Smart or Stupid?

A better question is "Are power supplies getting smarter?"

Yeah this looks to be 95% modular. He probably didn't even check out the pictures.

80+ rating supposedly doesn't mean much with little difference between bronze and gold.

The Cultists Network PSU list has the best ratings of quality right now, where this one is in C tier. Which means it's a solid PSU to build with especially for its price, but not top tier for high end rigs.

Thanks for posting this OP Smilie ... here's a tom's hardware review if this helps any

https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...y-review/6

much wiser heads than mine will weigh in on this comment of mine I'm sure Smilie ... and absolutely worth pointing out what I'm quoting, the deal is long gone (dead)... but I do remember snagging during the Black Friday/December xmas sale a Cooler Master MasterWatt 750 Watt Semi-fanless Modular Power Supply, 80 Plus Bronze Certified power supply for $30 after rebates ( I know I know, the dreaded rebate, I almost always get mine in the mail without any fuss but I can see why people say " I am NOT filling out a rebate, ever, in my entire life ! Smilie ) ... so not sure if it's worth waiting until Black Friday/December sales if you have that luxury? I'm guessing what's on sale here is probably a better power supply anyways (again wiser heads than mine will weigh on this with their own comments I'm sure)

Do hang onto a pdf of the receipt and take a picture of the serial and model number which I'm guessing is on the package or the power supply or something like that... no idea how good thermaltake's warranty process is but it doesn't hurt to check out the extended warranty coverage you probably have through your credit card... sometimes they do pay for it via a credit back to your credit card but they'd want the info I just mentioned when you're filing the claim.
