Yes, very. All you have to do is label the zone with sprinkler head on the rain bird wire, then take down the hub, install the Rachio and connect the wires. Very easy.

I own the 8 zone one and it is such a great controller. It automatically cancels watering based off the projected rainfall or if the ground is saturated. It'll help you save money and it's nice to be able to remotely turn on and off sprinklers during maintenance plus my water company gave me a rebate which basically made it pay for itself. Highly recommend!

I would have to believe there is, but have never looked into something for that. Not even sure if a Rachio could be hardwired.

Bought this a while ago to connect with HomeKit. Rachio recently gave up on HomeKit because they couldn't figure it out. Luckily, it set up easily using home bridge. Also this is really just a set and forget type of device so no real point in having it connected to HomeKit but it is cool to tell Siri to turn on the front lawn sprinkler when I see a dog on my yard.

You're going to love it. The amount of time and effort saved by being able to turn on and off zones with my phone while making small adjustments to my sprinkler heads was a game changer for me.

Amazing stuff, I bought 12 zones at Costco for 150, switched back from RainMachine horror. Once you install it a trick is to find a neighbor with public weather station and connect to it for ultra accurate rain skipping logic.
also water utilities offer rebates on these

Good deal. Not sure if they fixed the issue where it just bricks after a power outage. I had 2 bricked on me the last 2 years after a power outage; still under warranty so I was able to get free replacements; hopefully the latest one I have is fixed.
