I have 3x of these. one for my grilling gear, one for kids outside toys and one holds a 20lb propane tank + 4 smaller 1lb tanks. I always keep mine off the ground using 4 bricks and I use caulk sealant on all the inside edges

Good for storing propane tank. Need to make a hole on the back for pipe to come out.

That's an odd question. The color of his caulk is his own business.

Just a general comment on these. If you don't have a specific use in mind, buy something bigger than you think you'll need because there are always more things to store than you realize. I bought a medium/large size storage box, so I now have some seat cushions stored in the basement because the new ones we bought don't all fit.

Any experience with how "weather resistant" this is? I need something to store an open bag of chicken feed in out next to the coop

CCC indicating that $32 is the new low price and that's just normal price. For a container that's under 2 feet tall, you an bring a 5 gal bucket with a lid much cheaper than this..... not sure why this is needed? Front page to boot???

If I had a smaller table top style grill could I put it on top of this? How about if I add a plywood top or something?

Serious question - but why store a propane tank in this? I leave my tanks outside year-round in the Midwest (snow/rain/heat) and they seem to be doing fine. Is it just to avoid the eyesore of looking at tanks?

Clear just because that's what I had but any will do. You will have to reapply about every two years, I think the heat/cold makes it break down after a while, that and the fact that you will most likely be throwing things in and out of it. Like someone below mentioned main reason I did it was for bugs, out of my 3 the last one I didn't apply sealant to it for a few months after I got it and sure enough a couple of spiders got in there

I'll have to bookmark this thread for a future fire pit. Some don't store the tank inside and putting one in this is a great idea.
