This phone was previously used on t-mobile but was factory reset and not logged into icloud.
And Verizon has similar Test - but only for 30 days
Also, in case you didn't know, T-Mobile is closing most, if not all, of their physical stores. For people that have simple, easily solved issues, this isn't a problem. However, for people with technical issues, older folks who need 1 on 1 help setting up a new phone, etc, this is a problem. The only time I ever got real help was in a brick & mortar location. We left when they started throttling the assistance that in store employees could do to help & started forcing customers to go online or to call. All we needed to do was apply the nurse's discount to our account. Instead they closed our account, opened a new one, failed to transfer our phones & all promotions that we had along with it. They strung us along for 2 weeks attempting to fix their problem, each time giving us a different story and outright lying to us about what they did that caused the problem. They never remedied the problem they caused & we ended up closing our account & going to Verizon.
Guess I need to try to dig up an old inactive SIM from someone else.
Ok update. Swapped in Google Fi SIM, and cleared all data from T-Mobile app. I was able to sign up now.
