TMo executive board meeting:
"So, there's this Mint Mobile company that's using our network but charging a lot less. What should we do?"
"I dunno, copy their intro promo?"
"I dunno, buy them out with our $$$?"
"How about both?"
"Nice job, Johnson. Time to hit the bar, everybody."

No CC required. I think no address required either...it's very easy sign-up!
New user is new IMEI (device not used on the T-Mobile network).

I don't have a current service provider. What's the cheapest way to get one so I qualify for this offer? Need a GSM MVNO. Does the mint $1 free trial sim card work?

I tried this with a new unlocked phone and after checking eligibility, it shows that, "Sorry the phone needs an existing wireless provider to participate in Network Pass". This is a new phone and not connected with any network. Only Wi-Fi. Any suggestions?
I only got it to work by throwing a deactivated SIM card into my iPhone. Before that it would say only valid in the us. Even though my wifi is in the states it didn't work.

Download app on phone. Than go back to this page and click on the link and when it sends you to the T-Mobile page click to download the app again, but this time it will open the app with the offer.

I got in but needed to call support to get price applied as they tried charging full price. Need to verify most current bill to see if it's fixed.

For those of you that got the "you need wireless provider" I threw in an expired mint mobile sim and it activated.
This phone was previously used on t-mobile but was factory reset and not logged into icloud.

Installed today. Works. But in Chicago area I have terrible speeds. Dont like it. But it is good idea to test service.
And Verizon has similar Test - but only for 30 days
I've had TMobile twice in the Chicago area as.well, HARD PASS, it's a shame to say Sprint has better reception for me than Tmobile.

T-Mobile has some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It doesn't surprise me that they have to resort to tactics like this in order to woo customers.
Also, in case you didn't know, T-Mobile is closing most, if not all, of their physical stores. For people that have simple, easily solved issues, this isn't a problem. However, for people with technical issues, older folks who need 1 on 1 help setting up a new phone, etc, this is a problem. The only time I ever got real help was in a brick & mortar location. We left when they started throttling the assistance that in store employees could do to help & started forcing customers to go online or to call. All we needed to do was apply the nurse's discount to our account. Instead they closed our account, opened a new one, failed to transfer our phones & all promotions that we had along with it. They strung us along for 2 weeks attempting to fix their problem, each time giving us a different story and outright lying to us about what they did that caused the problem. They never remedied the problem they caused & we ended up closing our account & going to Verizon.
Similar story. I went in with a question on an employee discount, for whatever reason they not only didn't apply the discount but switched my plan! 10 min after leaving the store I get an alert thanking for signing up to some random plan. Smfh

Apparently they don't consider Tracfone a wireless provider. It won't let me sign up.

Guess I need to try to dig up an old inactive SIM from someone else.

Ok update. Swapped in Google Fi SIM, and cleared all data from T-Mobile app. I was able to sign up now.

This is a great tip and it worked for me... sort of. When I selected check eligibility it tells me I am outside the US. Say what? Brand new iPhone and definitely not outside the US. If anyone has additional tips I'm all ears. 😔
