This isnt really a deal. Tapo C320WS with starlight sensor is the way to go. If that hits $29, I'll buy 4 more. These cameras are 100x better than my google nest cams I am currently replacing.

The 320WS is also ONVIF capable, so you can use Blue Iris to record directly from the camera to your Blue Iris PC 24/7 which is obviously a better way to handle things if you want total control and better security. A bit of a pain to config but it does work. What I don't like about these devices is you need the internet to record, even if recording locally to Blue Iris. Basically becomes a point of failure and a security issue if you have an internet outage. Add in they include ethernet without supporting POE, which is just mind-numbingly stupid imo.

For the price you really can't go wrong, but there are limitations and while certainly better than nothing, if you want to secure your home in a more meaningful way, then going with better, POE based cameras that do not require internet to work (and are not acting as Chinese spyware all the time as such imo) is a better way to go (to say nothing of the privacy concerns). Of course they also cost a lot more in general.

My 2 cents.

Blink with sync module 2 allows you to store videos on a USB drive then retrieve via the internet without a subscription. Does it allow something similar?

I have multiple Wyze cams and use the internal storage. I can pull it up anytime and don't pay any fees. If you use the online storage from Wyze then yes you have to pay a fee. You should clarify this next time.

That was not my experience with Sync module 2. It didn't record anything when motion was detected unless I subscribed, which made all of blink useless to me.

I have 11 Eufy cameras, and ready to try something else. In for 1.

I was wowed a year ago by the Wyze starlight night vision, but since then several manufacturers offer it. The Tapo's is just as good as the Wyze. The Tapo is much larger. That can be good if you want its presence known but can also inhibit mounting in tight locations. However, it's WiFi range is far superior. Given the C320WS' range, built-in light (option to turn on when motion is detected), mounting bracket and ethernet option, it's the way to go. Oh yeah-- and is a no-brainer if you want to use RTSP. The newly released Wyze cams do not support it and probably never will.

Yeah purchased for $35 a couple of weeks back so decent deal but not 1/2 off.
