Sorry, I meant the 1/2 Wrench. If I have it would I really need a 3/8 Wrench was the question I was trying to ask.
for wrench and light automobile usage, one 1/2 is enough. spend money on ratchet is better.

I think a lot of the deals posted on the site are at lower margins than the retailer would like. I see plenty of deals posted where coupon codes stack when they shouldn't which is a much clearer indication of a retailer doing something they did not intend to and getting hit in the pocketbook.
At this point SD is just a giant marketing tool. Nothing wrong with that, but believing that absolute majority of the deals posted here are not approved by the retailers is just naïve. The deals retailers would consider true hacks are discussed in closed Slack / WhatsApp groups where people know one another, not in a public Internet forum.

While Home Depot probably prefers people don't "hack" the deals, they clearly are aware of it and on a deal-by-deal basis they allow it. There were plenty of Milwaukee deals around BF which were forced combo bundles, tool + tool at discounted price (not hackable single line), rather than the buy one get free gift xyz (hackable, multiple lines). They clearly have the capability of running sales that prevent hacking, but choose not to most of the time. Probably because it is much easier and faster to make a "you pick" single SKU than building 14 new SKUs for each bundle. So I'm sure the percentage of 'hackers' is factored into their margin calculations, otherwise they would be bad at business. They have already adjusted some (pajama) practices to lower the % of hackers by removing the 'ship to store' hack, and the 'cancel one item immediately after buying' hack, and that seems to have satisfied them for now. If you now have to go into a HD store to "hack" I guess they figure they have a good shot at getting more of your dollars on that trip and it's not worth to cut off that angle yet.
I also think they don't mind to take a little hit to the margins to get you locked in to the Ryobi ecosystem anyways

I got the saw for $39 last september, but I've seen it cheaper on direct tools outlet

Please help us keep our deal community clean

Many posts in this deal thread have been removed for arguing and derailing the intended collaborative nature of our deal threads.

There are many situations in which a retailer will provide its customers with an itemized receipt showing the prorated value of each item, should the customer choose to return part of a bundled set of items. If that were not allowed according to a merchant's internal policy, it is up to each merchant to implement safeguards or restrictions that would prevent that sort of abuse (if it were viewed by them as such). If it is allowed, however, we'd ask that our deal threads not be used as a venue to personally attack or target members for exercising their personal choice which may be contrary to our own.

In other words, if you are against using a "hack" like the one mentioned in this thread, we'd implore you not to use it. We'd ask that everyone in this community respect each other and not leave contentious comments.

Thank you! Peace

My products are not shipping together. One is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and one for Saturday. My shipping confirmation clearly shows the discount for the impact wrench from a retail price of $189, less a $139.50 discount with a $49.50 final price.

What a deal. Almost free. Hack or no hack. Scam or no scam. The guy that chatted up the HD worker, I think you're lying. Why would they say that to you? Good luck to all.

A few years ago, I returned (in store) just one of the tools in a deal like this. I asked the HD associate at the return counter if it was okay to do that, and she said it was as long as the receipt lists them as separate items. So I don't know why people are claiming it is a scam. That said, I bet if you did it a lot that HD might flag you and disallow returns. That happened to me once, but I think it was because I used A LOT of Home Depot gifts cards (from doing the Menards 11% rebate match thing) and that set off the transaction to get flagged.

Been really wanting the inflator which seems good at $41.

I love the idea of the impact wrench for tires but that is such a seldom use for me. Or things like an anode rod change. What are you all using the impact wrench for?

The ratchet is appealing too but other than using the 3/8 for putting the bike rack on the tow hitch, I mainly use a 1/4 ratchet for smaller jobs.
Got brand new inflator for cheaper on DTO

This is perfect. I have been looking for both the impact wrench and an orbital buffer. Both plus battery and charger for 99 bucks is a steal. Thanks for sharing this!
I got the buffer for $29 at DTO a few weeks ago, brand new no hack required. Not really a bad price for 49 bucks but not great either

Insane deal! This new 375 ft-lb model is actually very good as tested by Torque Test Channel on YT. It beat out the comparable Ridgid models.

Thanks for the link! It pushed me over the top to pull the trigger on this (and I paired it with the 3/8" ratchet).

You must've got the last one! I was excited to pair the ratchet with it and says sold out!

Was about to pull the trigger but just watched the ryobi dumpster fire video on YouTube and after seeing so many of these tools start smoking after minimal rough use, no thanks.
