Depends on too many factors to answer properly. Depth and weight of snow, temperature, etc. This is only a 4ah battery, so not huge.

I'd expect that would make snow cleanup for most folks easier. I'm in Colorado Springs and we occasionally get dumped on, I'd imagine I'll need to dig out my old but still useful Troybilt gas power 24" snowblower for larger/wet snow. I'll use this 40v one for smaller snow so I don't end up smelling like 2 stroke before going to work in the mornings after a storm.

Everyone's needs and conditions are different, but again, this would be great for most folks.

EDIT: As a note, when I ordered just a few minutes ago, the price was $149!
You could if you buy their 80v snow blower, this is 40v and those 80v batteries likely will not fit

Damn, bought this earlier this month when it was posted at $179.99 and they don't price match purchases on Walmart.com. 🤦

Bad reviews appear to be related to my comments above ... don't expect too much out of a 40v snow blower. Its not meant to move 10" of heavy snow, nor a whole 3 car driveway on a single charge.

Also appears the batteries are only good down to 7F, any lower they will turn themselves off and must be warmed up to keep going (which is counter intuitive for a snow blower.)

Again, though, this is great deal for most people and average needs, IMO.

theres an 80v for $250 (down from $400) but im skeptical still.... the plastic blade is a big turn off and im curious if theres a minimum amount of snow (i.e. needs at least 4" or something)

but having 2 80v batteries for each mowing and blowing.... thats a good time.

I have a 60 volt version and it got me through three Winters awesome 40 volts I would say as long as you plow immediately after it falls

Single stage snow blowers need enough snow, but not too much... I have a corded snow joe which gets the job done, but the cord and the varying quality of snow joe designs I would be research things like handles and durablity. The metal and/or rubber augers are more durable. Considering 2 stage are $800+ I'd be willing to accept the short comings for a few hundred

Almost bought - but that handle design is flawed and can buckle easily - ruined a similar designed snow joe after 1 storm.

I own this snow blower & the 40v snow thrower shovel. By looking at images, this appears to be the "newer" 40v 4ah battery. With snow, 25-30 minutes minimum w/out losing any juice. It absolutely launches powder, almost regardless of depth, but will bog w/ heavy wet stuff, but works if you only use 1/2 the width & easy to restart if bogged. Unless you're in the northern states (I'm Nebraska) or have a very large driveway, at this price it is well worth it in my opinion.
