Good price for these. Personally, I ended up going for the Lutron Aurora instead. It's not portable like these but it goes over your existing light switch and locks it in the on position. So you don't end up with both a switch (that has to be left on) and a remote. It's a lot less confusing for guests.

These seem really nice too just suggesting another option.

Thanks for the post, nice deal.

I found out online that IKEA TRADFRI dimmer switch works fine with a Hue Bridge, no IKEA hub required. It does on off and bright/dim. Works well for me.

Nice deal for these. I am looking to replace many of the style of these with the new tap dial switches if they ever go on sale.

It's a great idea. I just wasn't 40 each. The one posted here is for a 2 pack. I have a few lights without switches. But I really do like that idea.

The Aurora goes on sale fairly often if you set an alert here or with CCC. I paid like $28 for an open-box one.

But yeah if you have lights without switches these are ideal and a great price.

Even better to use both Smilie. One by the bedside so I don't have to walk my fatass to the lights switch haha

They were randomly $20 on 7/22/22, I don't remember what special occasion it was.

Lol I'm too use to with the traditional light switches where I just flick it on at 100mph without a care in the world. One time I just slapped the Aurora so hard it just flew across the room haha.

Some of them have hairline cracks now, still works though so that's a plus. Only time will tell how long they hold up with my slaps.

Lutron Caseta is best since it's wifi enabled. Don't remember the last time I even touch the switch.

I like the older style of the hue switches since the four buttons are more obvious and also there's no brand on it. For those of you worried, you can cover up the hard wire switch with some of these.

Yes, it sticks out a little bit from the wall but this has been my solution in the areas where the kids wanted Hue color bulbs. The rest of the house is Caseta.

Caseta connects to its own hub which is why the system is better than conventional wifi solutions. That and you don't need to keep purchasing Hue lights. Pays for itself there. You can still turn on/off hue bulbs with it.

The new Caseta diva is the way to go if you are looking into it.

I know that philips wants you to buy into their system and buy their bulbs...but I REALLY wish they would offer a true light switch that integrates into the Hue network.

I have a couple of built-in fixtures that I would like to keep, but which I want connected to my hue lighting. They are all wired to a single switch--easiest solution would be to replace it with a Hue-compatible smart switch. Basically something that looks exactly like this, but has the actual dimmer/switch hardware behind it.

I've heard that there are some Zigbee dimmers you might be able to buy and convince the hue bridge to work with...but I haven't quite been able to figure it out and its not seamless like buying Hue branded products.

These are nice for some very specific use cases if you have the Hue environment.

I have a room without any ceiling lights in it and we use lamps in the room with Hue bulbs. This effectively adds a light switch to control the 4 lamps throughout the room (all on different plugs) which helps people who aren't familiar with my home automation commands to turn on/off the lights in the room.

I've got one of these and it works great. It's been in use about 8 months with no battery change or issues.
