The other issues that Linus Tech tips pointed out were the limited bios options with XMP ram. This was fixed in a bios update and is now an option. There is also potentially some sort of CPU power throttling - but apparently there's a workaround for that as well. SO in summary I think this is a killer deal with a couple tweaks!

Throttlestop for the CPU if Intel.Google the processor and the appropriate power limit. Quote from the link above: "Ok i learned a little more about throttlestop and used it to change the power limit. After running stress test, it worked perfectly. I set it to 120w. cooler can definitely handle 140+ but the VRMs have no heatsink so i just don't want them to over heat. Should be plenty of cpu power for my gpu."
Quote from the comments of the Linus Tech Tips review of the 45 L regarding the RAM
"Hi Linus, just to let you know HP already released a BIOS update back in february (F.12) that let's you enable XMP profile for the RAM or a custom profile"
Link to the aforementioned review that mentions these issues (old version with no liquid cooling and no front case vent).

My plan upon receipt is to first remove the HP bloatware (antivirus, etc). Run some performance / stress tests and monitor the temperature throughout those with something like HWiINFO, Core Temp, or XTU / Throttlestop, check the BIOS for the XMP / RAM options, but only update the BIOS as a last resort considering that the newest version appears to remove some controls (and can't be rolled back).
