My plan upon receipt is to first remove the HP bloatware (antivirus, etc). Run some performance / stress tests and monitor the temperature throughout those with something like HWiINFO, Core Temp, or XTU / Throttlestop, check the BIOS for the XMP / RAM options, but only update the BIOS as a last resort considering that the newest version appears to remove some controls (and can't be rolled back).

HP will charge up to a 15% restocking fee if you want to return it. Mine was still brand new in the box, unopened and they still will charge 15% restock fee. Just changed my mind and wanted to return it. Happy to pay a return ship fee, but HP was chargning $185 restock fee.
So I decided to wait before returning it. Now I see this sale after I paid more. HP will NOT price match because this is a 'promotion'.
Heck of a deal, but buyer beware in dealing with HP on customer service things like a return or price match. HP does have their policies listed and plenty of fine print to read through for them to say the information is posted. Please look carefully at the terms and conditions.
