DRAM-less QLC. It's pretty much bottom of the barrel. Probably okay as long as you don't routinely move big files around. For $15 more, you can find the Solidigm P41 Plus which is a much better drive, even if it is still QLC and DRAM-less

Very slow drive. I have tried it on one of my laptops. Probably just use it as external drive.

So you would find QLC drives slow for your specific usecase or all usecases?

Picked this up a few weeks ago for storage and games. No issues, and good value for $79 after tax with this coupon https://www.microcenter.com/site/...ries4.aspx

People keep saying, "slow." How does it compare if I'm still booting with a SSD via SATA? Or a platter drive?

no, most people saying its slow dont know. The load times from sata 3 to nvme gen 4 is minimal at best. unless you are doing extensive workloads for your job, the difference is not noticeable. and if ur using it as a storage drive. DRAM means nothing if its purely a storage drive.

Slow compared to what? Samsung top of the line which is like 3x the price? LOL
I have Hynix NVMe (we all know how good is Hynix P31 is) and this Inland NVMe in the same PC and here is the comparison !

Platter/spinner is only used for offline archiving (e.g. keeping movies/photos) now a days, not for any active/hot usage, that much slow they are !
For SATA, NVMe (even this cheapest one) is WAY faster then any SATA and especially for OS, you should upgrade to some NVMe !

OP How about you fill up the inland drive to 91% and rerun the speed test?

Intel 670p is $80 for 2tb at MC. Why would you buy this?
