I did the initial deposit by directly visiting branch next day. That I guess will be best in case ppl are still waiting for a transfer to show up!
Yeah, if you make a cash deposit to your new WF account. But if you deposited a check from your other bank account to WF, I bet it would still take several business days to clear. Really slow process, no doubt.
opened an account shortly after deal was posted, already received and activated debit card, did initial funding at time of opening and no account showing up when logged in???
Has anyone's DD come through yet on WF? I checked today and it doesn't appear. The app also says "If you see incorrect balances or missing transactions, this may be due to a technical issue and we apologize. Your accounts continue to be secure and we're working quickly on a resolution."

WF really needs to get their act together!
Made my account today and deposited $500 from another checking account. I'm currently seeing the same message as you as well. Let's hope it fully transfers sometime next week. Gonna be pretty upset if they start charging fees for not having money in the account even though we deposited, let's see.
All these banks giving you money so that they can keep your money is a sign something is about to happen, right?
You got a crystal ball or something? Your post is from 2/22, and 3/10, Silicon Valley Bank just failed. There might be contagion to other banks.

No...banks balance sheets are actually better than ever. They want more money to deploy more money in the next year. The more money they can hold, the more money they can lend and make money off higher interest rates. Not everything in doom and gloom.
This comment didn't age well... Silicon Valley Bank's balance sheets seemed pretty good just a few days ago, and then in a mere 48 hours they failed due to a good old fashioned bank run.
Remember people: a bank doesn't have to lose 100% of its funds to fail. It can lose 5% or 10% or 15% and suddenly be unable to service its customers, which then in the era of social media triggers a bank run in which it loses a lot more than 5%. It all depends on how close to the edge they are running where a slight hit can trigger a panic.
Those of you who advised taking Wells Fargo's money and running, note that it is very possible for a bank to fail faster than you can go stand in line to get all your money out.

It took almost a full week for mine to show up.
My DD did eventually appear on my account with the date of 3/10. I guess they don't post until the following day, which is odd, b/c for my other 2 bank accounts, they post on the day of (Friday).
A follow up to my above post. Did anyone else get this kind of email?

Again, our apologies. Thank you for being a valued customer of Wells Fargo.
My wife and I each opened separate accounts. Her initial deposit took 6 days to show up. Today is day 7 for mine and I am still waiting. I recall the same issues when we did a WF checking bonus 4 years ago. Apparently, they're still one of the slowest banks to process transfers. Last time I also had to spend 2 hours at the local branch in order to get money in or out of my account as my account had been red-flagged because I had too many linked bank accounts (2!). It seems WF thinks no one could possibly have 3 bank accounts. We swore we would never return after that, but they lured us back with the $650 carrot. We've got to make up the insane increases in cost of living somewhere.

Just got my initial deposit in my Wells Fargo account, took almost 6 days.
Took way longer than I was expecting. Gonna set up direct deposit to put $1k in it to qualify and just leave it in there until the bonus hits. Hopefully goes smooth
I did an ATM cash deposit of $25 after receiving my debit card. Depositing cash was one of the options they gave me to fund the new account.
After reading your responses, I'm wondering if my deposit qualifies as an "opening deposit."

It should..i did the same thing.. except i opened the account early in the morning and then went down to the branch and deposited the $25. I called customer service and they said that was fine. That was one of the options when I signed up.
my initial deposit took about 3-5 biz days and it finally showed up. then direct deposit showed up immediately after they were submitted on a thursday.
