Set your laptop down and plug in one cord, and you are now charging and can be hooked up to 2 monitors, up to 7 other USB devices (at up to 10Gbps each), and Ethernet.
It's a great machine and *well* worth the upgrade... If those features (plus better blacks) are worth giving up VRR and taking a hit on motion blur.

My Thunderbolt dock (HP G2, which is ~$100 on Amazon and ebay regularly) already has essentially everything you describe, can charge my laptop at up to 100W and is also a 1 cable solution to my laptop.
Using a monitor as your main USB hub is also really annoying. Ports are much harder to find and use, than a docking station.

If you're saturating multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, then you want a newer Thunderbolt dock anyway, not this monitor. There's only so much bandwidth available over Display Port 1.4 for display and alt mode, especially if you want to drive more than one monitor. Newer Thunderbolt docks are $200-$250 regularly when they go on sale.
The "better" blacks are debatable, because panel uniformity on this monitor was worse, and it had lower tested brightness.
