Because so many people bought it back then, there's lots of YT videos about how to upgrade it and the limitations around that.
For a "very" budget desktop, one could remove and sell the RX5500 graphics card, getting maybe $60 - $100 for it depending on eBay fees / Paypal fees / Craigslist hagglers / Facebook marketplace low-ballers etc. Example [ebay.com]
This is possible because the 5600G CPU has on-chip graphics, and the motherboard has built-in video outputs (one HDMI and one VGA). Note the motherboard's video outputs come covered with little plastic plates to prevent people from accidently plugging their monitor into them when the RX5500 is installed (since they'd need to use the outputs on the RX5500).
Gaming using the on-chip graphics is going to be a lot slower than gaming with the RX5500 installed, but can still be done.
If I remember correctly from older deals for this system, the big complaint was poor wifi reception since the antenna wires are inside the case. Also ventilation isn't great so it gets warm while gaming. I recall somebody buying one of these "renewed" systems actually got one with the internal wi-fi card missing.

Can easily by upgraded or used as is.
Your upgrade path for GPUs is limited by the PSU. Mobo and PSU are proprietary.
You can sell the 5500 and use that money for something else, RAM, nvme or better card.
If you get a dud or don't like it, just return it to Walmart.
I thought this deal is over. I'd get now if you are interested. I suspect it will be gone for good sooner than later. Eventually VIP will be out and done with these.
Sold the 5500 and got an 8TB drive for data storage with the money.
Very nice deal imo.
Also note, the 5500 has a known issue with one of the latest card drivers that causes it to randomly freeze up, which might explain why we are still seeing this particular model go on sale.
