You could but not recommended I believe. The blender cup is made of plastic. They normally recommend buying stainless steel cup separately. Otherwise, high speed of blending along with grain powders could cause microplastics coming off of the plastic cup. The SS cup used to hit low $130s on SD multiple times.

edit: cup as in the pitcher...

Also the actual Dry Grains containers actually have the blades that are (essentially) reversed from the normal/regular/wet containers because the blades work very differently for wet ingredients vs dry.

The item description indicates that the box will be brown, which is refurbished according to the comment. Is anyone aware of it?

Any full size Vitamix can make hot soup. They're all essentially the same performance. The peak performance changed from 2 hp in older models to 2.2 hp, but that's really just to accommodate extra power needed for a wider base (so the performance is equivalent).

There are different features, some models are quieter than others, and there are different stock containers available… but the blending ability really only differs based on slight differences amongst containers.

Did you ever get an answer? Customers complaining on BB product page that they received obviously used goods.

I got the brown box, but the manufacture date was Dec 2022. So it should be the new stock, plus I don't care whether it is new or refur., as long as it has the 10-year warranty.
