With shipping it came to $74 but I ended up price matching on bestbuy.com for free shipping.

This case is about 20yrs old now and the "Flow" version was $10 more a few weeks ago, no one should pay more than $45 for this case in 2023. Plenty of budget cases with mesh front panels, and sometimes rgb fans included, for $50-70 on Newegg.

They had usb-c 20 years ago? :—) kidding aside, for those wanting FP usb-c, this case is a nice bet at $60.

This is not a good case for $60, airflow is a bigger problem for this case. This case has 3pin fans which is 20 years old case and also usb-c header is of no use. As most of the motherboards do not have a usb c header. So you need to buy a adapter or need to have latest intel and amd motherboards. Most Nzxt models use proprietary rgb fans and nzxt rgb controller , so does not support other generic rgb fans. So stay away with these NZXT cases except flow models. Look for other brand rgb cases on sale at microcenter.com , newegg and gamestop or amazon

FWIW, I have this case and have zero problems with temperatures with an AMD 5900X and an RTX 3070 using one top and one back case fan. I also live in a hot and humid location with AC set at 79 F and my CPU idles at 34 C with a Scythe Mugen 5. My CPU maybe hits 80 C under extreme, extended load but typically is in the mid 60s C when gaming or doing scientific computing.
People complain about the airflow but I've had zero problems. It's a clean-looking case that's easy to build in and manage cables. There are better cases but for $60, it's a good option. I also do not need or want any RGB lights with my computer (my GPU has lights but I have the clear side hidden).

I do not know which is worse, that you seem to think everyone would want a mesh front panel or that everyone would want rgb

This Compact version looks so claustrophobic compared to the same H510 series' Flow version.
Had a Phanteks 'compact' mid-tower w closed front panel exactly like this.
CPU fan and GPU fans couldn't get enough cool air and screamed at 100%. The sliver of side air holes on the front absolutely cannot provide enough opening for the fans up front to pull in the air.
These are on sale for a reason. Phanteks soon changed their closed panel to mesh panel on that particular case. Still a compact is too tiny for any power hungry cpu/gpu systems and I'd stay away.
If anything these should be for igpu rigs like 5600g etc, never for gaming.

Thanks, good to know. Just put together a new gig. I thought I will use my old case which was supposed to accommodate a water cooler but the screws don't even line up. I was thinking of an H7 or Corsair and looking at those cases on Newegg and I have no idea why I should pay double for an H7. Seems like the expensive cases look pretty but many of them come with a 3 pin fans. The best strategy seems like buy a cheap decent case and buy good fans. With proper placement and good fans I can get good cooling and also cut down on power and noise when not needed. I still don't get the fascination with RGB lighting. Seems like that would be more of a distraction.

Here's a similarly-priced option for those who want a mesh front: https://www.newegg.com/black-ther...68111334
Probably shouldnt do that
