Metro allows their phones to be unlocked after ~180 days. Some Metro phones work with T-Mobile out of the box, though I'm not sure if that's the case with this specific phone.
Moto G Stylus 5g 2022 is also back at $40 w/1 month service

Thanks. Does the phone need to be active on their service for 120 days or can I just pay for first month and put phone in drawer for 3 months and then unlock?
180 days = 6 months
others report that they paid for the first month only and unlocked after 180 days

I am on Tmobile and have purchased a few phones from Metro PCS for the very reason of having a backup. I pay for the first month, set it in a drawer...maybe take it out to charge once a month and then set a timer on my phone. At the 6 month mark I put my Tmobile SIM in it and it works. I also do this knowing that my kids will need or break a phone and I just sell it to them at my cost...or it becomes a birthday/Christmas present.

Getting "Sorry, we are currently experiencing technical issues-please try again." at the final page. The third time trying I get "Sorry, your request cannot be completed at this time. For additional assistance, find a store near you."

Tried on desktop Chrome (including incognito) and Edge, on mobile Chrome (including incognito) and Firefox. Cleared cookies and cache in all instances but still no dice. Any other suggestions?

The A14 also has additional 5g bands: n25, n77, n78
They both have the important ones for T-Mobile though: n41, n66, n71

You don't pay. It's cancelled.
That's what happened with me.

Grabbed one as a backup, as I don't have use for now. Going to probably let it sit 6 months in a drawer
