Metro will activate the SIM within 2 weeks of your delivery date, but I don't think it will automatically activate your phone/trigger the device's internal unlock counter. You have to install the SIM and turn on the phone for that. I noticed my phone's unlock date was exactly 181 days after I put my SIM into the phone and not when the SIM was activated two weeks prior, so it was a good thing I put it into my phone before the first month was over. Might've had to pay for another month and start the counter from there.

Can confirm that I only spent money on the first month and kept it in a drawer afterwards for exactly 180 days after my SIM activated, but it said I wasn't eligible for a unlock until about 2 weeks later after that (180 days after I finally turned the phone on with the SIM inside). Bought this phone back in June (with the deal at discounted price with first month, not this better deal at free with first month) and unlocked just about 2 weeks ago.

The unlock setting (built into the phone, not a separate app) gives a very distinct, red X with message saying that I didn't reach the requisite 180 days to unlock the device, but that message about the 180 days disappeared after waiting a few weeks longer and in its place was a link to try a 'permanent unlock', which worked.

The Nord n200 seems to be available, is this the same scenario? Add to cart, pay the plan and cancel / phone is yours?

Think it's still active, other people have said to just check randomly as they stock it randomly. I've been checking since last night, no luck so far.

Nope I don't need to understand a review. Absolutely blows means it takes ok picture during the day but in the evenings even with decent amount of light, the pictures comes out pretty crappy. That's exactly what absolutely blows means. A53 by comparison takes fairly decent photos with decent amount of sunlight out and acceptable photos during night time. Stylus nighttime photos are useless. But feel free to go ahead and buy it. Really don't care.
Maybe you do know how to understand reviews (although doesn't seem like it) but seems like you can't follow the logic of discussion very well. Why bother posting a review in an attempt to prove your point, but the review says nothing like that.

Had your comment been about the night images (which many may not even care about), you *might* have sounded legit, but making a Simpson's Comic Book Guy "worst Batman ever!" comment, blows any credibility.

It's a $40 phone that's pretty good and with incredible battery life, I might add. Apparently, some people will complain about everything. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I also have the a14. I tried my sim when i first got it and it wouldn't connect to the network. Now that i've had it a month It may work if i try the sim again?

CPU performance and software affect the image results of like sensors. The iphone and Pixel use the same camera modules over multiple generations with steady improvements in performance and image quality.

I bought this in december, it's an amazing phone for $40. you have to wait 6months to unlock the sim to use on other carriers tho.
Does that mean min 6 months service is required or it can stay without plan still eligible for unlock?

Let the first month expire and then wait 5months as a wifi device

On One browser it doesn't even show the full page and on another it doesn't show anything about add to the cart.

Also: I have a moto ace 1 5g an its about midline to me. I have another newer 32gb moto that barely can make phone calls. Is this worth getting as a backup to replace that phone that can't play games an barely makes calls? Or should I just save my cash for note 20 ultra an a tab 8 (or 7)
