Wow what a great deal! They must have a ton left to flip before they release the x16 and x18

Alienware should have stayed with their legacy designs instead of making these half assed 'ultrabooks' that weigh as much as competitors' regular models.

did you own any? i had two generations back to back of the top end r15 in 2015+. as much an alienware fanboy as i am (im not a fanboy of many companies either) id say they were the worst designed laptops for cooling and battery. and weighed a ton. you'd think they had superior cooling for all that extra weight and space, but nope. google how notoriously bad the cooling was simply due to this 'legacy' design. i loved the design too over this but it had so many faults i ended up selling both due to how hot it got and drained the battery. also 400 nits is low for this price. not an outdoor friendly monitor

for the record i even have an expensive alienware backpack and the $160 keyboard. trust me it would take a lot for me to say something bad about alienware but i will state it where its due. the backpack and keyboard are top quality though. worth the money like many alienware products.

i am tempted at this too now that they have redesigned the hotbox of a legacy case but 400 nit is a disappointment on a high end laptop

Would it be better though? Seems small.

I've got an x14 that I got on BF, same CPU, RAM, and SSD specs. It's a beast of a machine that I'm happy with the compromise between performance and portability. It's loud when the fans spool up but it's the same with any similar machine.
