why would active members be issued a DD214?
also it is eligible for spouses, dependents of those who qualify so those are not going to be issued discharge paperwork

Be careful that you know the characteristics of the steel you are getting in a knife. High end steels like the S90V used on some of these have particular characteristics that might not suit your use case. S90V is great at edge retention and corrosion resistance, but has middling toughness and is very difficult to sharpen. This could be fine for you or it could be frustrating, so just be aware of the characteristics of the steel you are buying.
