Good, paired with a $89 5500/$80 B450/$40 3200/CL16/$50 1TB NVME.
Note. This only has an 8x bus. If you are on PCI 3.0 still, this will not perform at it's max.

Is this one on sale all the time because it's loud? Have seen that complaint come up a bit. Any users with personal experience?

I bought two recently for SFF builds in the Lian Li A4-H2O I have it right up against the case panel, even then they're not loud at all when stress testing with Kombuster. They do have weird hotspot deltas but I wonder if that's normal behavior for vertical mounts with this heat pipe. It doesn't seem to trigger any warnings or throttle so maybe it's a non issue.

Everyone has different levels of acceptable volume levels for their PC. I have my gaming computer right next to my monitor on my desk and I (personally) find it very loud at the default settings. Tweaking the fan curve and doing a -60mV has helped considerably and has been stable so far.

It's about average loudness wise for this style fan, go with this over the Gigabyte eagle for sure, bought both around black Friday.

Same price $270 on newegg. $250 with rebate. If buying this card, might as well roll the rebate dice with newegg.

I bought this card from newegg the first week of December for a similar price. I submitted for the rebate using their website.

A prepaid debit card showed up in the mail last week. So assume 8-10 weeks. It was a pain and a long wait, but all things considered pretty painless.

I have the 6600xt version and it's the loudest card I've ever owned at default settings. I just run MSI afterburner in the background with a proper fan curve set to fix it. The card runs very cool in general and after the tweaks to the fan curve the fans max out at about 40% while the card stays in the low 60c.
