I got two when they were on sale for black Friday and paired it with a Sonos arc for the bedroom. I used the two frames as surrounds. Instead of buying Ikea's covers I purchased customized ones from https://uniskdesign.com/. This got high wife acceptance factor and looks really good on the wall. The power cable is long and looks better if you can hide it in wall. I primarily use it for watching TV shows and the surround sound works really well. Highly recommend it!

These are not the same class of product. The Google Home Max will sound better and have better bass extension. These are roughly equivalent to Sonos Ones in the product line up and sound quality whereas the Max competes with the Sonos Five. These are mainly designed to be speakers that are incognito fit in with decor. They're unique for being able to link up with other Sonos products and become a rear surround pair. The Max is designed to work in mono and stereo but not necessarily as discrete surrounds. These Symfonisk picture frames can also work as mono and stereo front and left speakers but again, they shine as complementing surround speakers.

I picked up one. I have one of the Sonos Beam speakers for my computer. Plan to put this directly behind me. Maybe it'll help when I play shooters on speaker lol Big Grin.

If you have an Apple TV then you can use these, the better experience is if you use them in conjunction with a Sonos soundbar and Sub though.

Love this speaker, have one in my kitchen and it goes great with the rest of my sonos products. My only beef is the power cord is white and not black.

I want to upgrade my audio in my little office space. Currently have a lenovo clock 2nd gen for basic speaker and google assistant. Can I still use the Google assistant from the clock and have it output audio from this frame speaker or better to just get a Google nest speaker?

I want to put these in my master bathroom. Any issues with moisture? I don't really have much condensation due to the size of the bathroom and good ventilation

Would I stream Netflix audio to this from my Apple TV Gen 2 while simultaneously playing audio through the hdmi? We basically want to add this speaker to a far corner of the room that still has LOS from our TV so that people further away could still hear dialogue.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that would work well. You might need a Sonos sound bar to come out from the Apple TV, and then pair these as surrounds to the soundbar. Again, not an expert.

It might be okay if you never find that you have moisture on your walls however, this speaker is a ported design, which means there is the potential for moisture to continually build up inside and then not escape.

The Sonos One and Sonos Five are both rated to be in high humidity areas according to Sonos themselves, likely on the account of the fact that they are sealed designs.
