Still have my Sorels from the early 90's going strong. I'm guessing they don't make them like that anymore, but still a great brand.

From my experience, Sorel's boots are now all Made in China garbage. My pair of Sorel Conquests lasted two years before they began separating at the seams and then the rubber cracked and came off in chunks as if dry-rotted. I replaced those with vintage Made in Canada Sorels from ebay for $30 and couldn't be happier. It's a shame what's happened to this once great brand.

When did this happen? I have a pair from 2018 that I wear daily in the fall and winter, they're still going strong and was considering buying another pair!

Edit: my pair is in fact made in China, surprisingly still holding up well after 5 years of daily use.

I assume, since Sorel sale prices end in $0.98 that the $44.98 was the price of the slippers and that the final charged total was with the added sales tax. But I could be wrong
