I grabbed the same deal and it's making to Montana on Monday. I ordered the two 55" powertec tracks. Should fit just fine and that is a great price, especially considering it includes the connectors.

Was looking at the Powertec tracks. Great price. Think I might get a 55" Mikwaukee track and then the 2 - 55" Powertecs (for the same price!) for longer cuts so I don't have to take it apart.

Great Deal. I snapped it up. Note that the PRESDAY20 coupon code can only be used once. So if you want to order rails and accessories for the saw, add those to your order as well. The seller has all of them except for the 106."

Can someone recommend a project for me so I can justify buying today? I want, but don't need... and my garage is kind of full.

That coupon doesn't apply to the rails.

Would have probably taken advantage of this deal if they were also 28% off.

I bought the Makita Track Saw and Rails for an office built-in cabinet project. A table saw would be easier, though.

Cutting the bottom of door slabs
You can easily add a guide on to a door slab and use a decent circular saw for something like that. Track saws are only really necessary, or worth their cost, if you have a need for precision cutting long runs on sheets of wood. Obviously you need to make sure you have enough workspace for handling such large sheets when cutting them.

I definitely could see this being a great tool for a professional carpenter/contractor. Donny DIYer, on the other hand, who would need/use this type of tool maybe once every five years (at that). I'm not so sure it's worth that kind of coin. Most are probably better off just getting a Kreg track for circular saws.

I appreciate this as I have a highly illogical addiction to Milwaukee tools, I'm def a DIY person, and already own a Kreg track. Hard to pass on this deal though!! Lol. Regardless, thanks Smilie

I'm sure there's already plenty of info out there on this but does anyone no how this compares to the Makita or it pros and cons over the Makita tracksaw ? I just don't want to fall in the black hole of info at the moment.

I had the Makita (corded) and then sold it to buy this Milwaukee. I am already on the Milwaukee battery system and Packout. A nice safety feature on the Milwaukee is the riving knife which the Makita did not have (the models are older) which may prevent kickback.

I'm not even entirely sure what this does and I certainly don't need it, work mostly on automotive and have all the power tools, batteries and accessories I need for that, and am entirely M12, yet I keep clicking on every Milwaukee deal no matter how applicable it is for me. I can't be the only one. Something addictive about Team Red.
