Slickdeal deals used to be based on community feedback on what was a "deal". Community is what separated Slickdeals from the other 271 deal websites that have come and gone. Getting way off topic here and I could be WAY wrong but they may have agreements with places like Amazon and such to count clicks or actual sales with specific targets to reach per month/week. To drive that count we see strange non deals like this corn deal to up the count. This dilutes the effectiveness/value/trust of the Slickdeals site to the average user when staff posts obviously not good deals.

Exactly this. Frozen corn tastes like corn freshly cut from the cob. Canned corn tastes like creamed corn -- has a stronger flavor than fresh corn (probably from marinating in it's own juices for months or years).

Yep cheaper at the store, I guess you have to drive. I'm passing because sometimes these cans can have really bland corn, and not sweet corn. I made the mistake of buying 12 cans of bland. I guess those will go to the food drive.
