Yep cheaper at the store, I guess you have to drive. I'm passing because sometimes these cans can have really bland corn, and not sweet corn. I made the mistake of buying 12 cans of bland. I guess those will go to the food drive.
My doctor wife says that they are very close in nutritional value, but flash frozen corn retains slightly more nutrients than the can version. The reason being is that when they freeze corn, it has to be blanched first. That means they par cook it very quickly in hot water and then flash freeze it. This affects the nutritional value a little bit. However, when they can corn, they have to cook it a bit longer to prevent bacterial growth while sitting on the shelf at room temperature. They sometimes add other preservatives to canned food so it can last longer. So can corn is slightly less nutritional, BUT.........the values are so small, that it's not really worth the debate! In other words, as long as you eat things like corn, green beans, broccoli, etc., regularly, the difference between can and frozen is too minimal to have any real effect on you.
If a person wants the absolute maximum nutritional value from corn or any other vegetable, the best thing is to buy it fresh and unprocessed. Local farmers markets are your friend.

For me, the corn came as pictured, Product of Canada if that helps. Best by date of Aug 8, 2023. I understand many people aren't concerned about the expiration date for canned or dried stuff, no need to reply this comment stating how it don't matter. I'm just providing some info off a can, and for the record, I am one of those that don't really care if it's past expiration. Tastes like every other canned corn I had maybe a touch saltier. Finally, I've never really looked at where the corn came from before in canned corn till now haha.
edit: curious now, what's the country of origin for canned corn from Walmart, Aldi, or other retailers mentioned?
I ordered the limit of 10 the last time it was featured on Slick a few weeks ago. They ship them loosely in the package and half of them were dented pretty bad.
I mean, I guess if you live somewhere really remote, and the Alaska Railroad delivers your Amazon Prime packages in the mail for free, this might be considered a deal...
